Thame, Oxfordshire England (HE22966)

Our home is located in the picturesque market town of Thame, near the Chiltern Hills, and Oxford. 1 hour from London by train. We are 10 minutes walk from the centre of Thame which has a mix of boutiques, shops, cafes, a gallery, pubs and small supermarkets. There is a market every Tuesday. The nearest railway station (Haddenham and Thame Parkway) is 5 minutes drive taking you into London (50 minutes) and Birmingham (90 minutes). We are 15 minutes drive from the M40 motorway. From here it is 40 minutes to Windsor in one direction and Blenheim Palace and the Cotsworlds in the other. London, Warwick Castle and Stratford-on-Avon are all about an hour’s drive away. Oxford is 30 minutes. There are regular buses into Oxford.

We are; a Project Manager (early 40’s) working in London and a Plumber (early 50’s) with his own business. We love walking, running and mountain biking in the countryside at the weekends and evenings. We love experiencing different cultures and getting a feel for a country from a local’s point of view. We also enjoy going to the theatre, eating out and live music. We are keen runners and members of our local running club, Thame Runners.
