Our house is a large cottage in a quarter acre garden on the edge of the village: fields on three sides and views across to the hills from the breakfast room. Less than a mile from the foot of the Mendip Hills (AONB), 15 mins from Cheddar, 30 mins from Wells, Bristol, Clevedon, Weston-super-Mare, 45 mins from Bath. Great area for a varied holiday: country walks, beaches, ancient cities, lovely villages.

Four bedrooms (one en-suite), 3 reception rooms (one with piano), new large kitchen with stunning window onto field, dishwasher, washing machine (no drier), Aga plus electric cooker for when it's too warm to have the Aga on. Lots of books and toys. Large garden with swing seat, trampoline, swing. Patio with furniture.

Ian is a career civil servant, based in Bristol. Zoe sings professionally, and runs the barn-conversion holiday cottage adjoining the house (sleeps 2, never noisy). William and Louise attend the village primary school, Wilfred aged 1 attends to very little! We are looking for a fortnight in Germany in July/August 2010. Car exchange a possibility. Cat sitting for Mollie (very friendly) requested. We are active in the local community and church, and have family near by, so plenty of contacts for help and local advice.
