Tavistock, Devon England (HE22073)

I am looking for an exchange or possibly housesitting for 2-3 weeks during Novemeber/December, possibly to include Christmas and New Year, preferably somewhere hot, but open to offers. We live in a well looked after, comfortable 3 bed home with well maintained gardens and summerhouse. Situated in a quiet location on the outskirts of Tavistock, on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. An area of outstanding natural beauty, ideal for sight seeing, walking and many outdoor pursuits. Tavistock is an award winning, friendly market town. A daily pannier market sells crafts and local produce. A local arts centre, offers films and live entertainment. Shops and restaurants are a short walk.

We are 6 miles from the Cornish border, within easy access of spectacular coastlines, fishing villages and beaches of Devon and Cornwall. There are many ancient buildings and inspiring places to visit. Plymouth City, with its historic Barbican and Hoe is 30 mins away and has ferries to France and Spain leaving daily. Plymouth’s airport, train and bus station is only 30 mins drive.

I’m Jackie and I may be travelling with one or both of my daughters, Carrie 23, an Occupational Therapist, and Monica 17, currently working hard for her A Levels. I work locally as a Representative/Demonstrator. We all enjoy travelling and exploring different areas of Britain and abroad. Some of our trips have included Hong Kong, New Zealand Ethiopia, but we are certainly open to offers. We have eclectic tastes and enjoy a variety of activities.
